FACEBOOK GENERATOR
Everything you put online is a part of an image you can create with your profile. People really think about what they post online, it’s like dressing up nicely for a party; they want to be seen and be liked. A profile picture is the same as a poster for a party, an invitation.
The final publication is a result of months of research. Eventually I created a system that was able to translate all information off a Facebook profile back to the offline world in the form of a poster. These posters consist of two sides, generated by custom-made Python scripts.
The script for the backside divides the amount of pictures on one profile, by the width of an A3-paper. The front is a
visualisation of the activity on the user’s Facebook profile; friends, photos and posts are linked with tags, likes and comments. This creates unique images and shows the different characters.
